MA IN PHILOSOPHY

The two-year (four semesters) Master’s Programme inPhilosophy aims at providing a comprehensive synthesis of various philosophicaldisciplines to develop a critical and analytical approach to all major areas ofhuman inquiry.
The objectives of the Master’s Programme in Philosophyinclude: (i) prepare the students to teach philosophy in centres of highereducation, (iii) equip them to perform functions that demand higher competencein national/international organizations, (iii) train them in scientificresearch, and (iv) help the students to find meaning in life by broadeningtheir perspectives.
The Master’s Degree in Philosophy, awarded by theChrist University at the end of the successful completion of the four-semesterprogramme, qualifies the students for admission to MPhil or Doctorate inPhilosophy in all the Departments/Faculties all over the world.
It is open to all. Acandidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BCom, BSc, or any equivalentdegree) from a recognized University with 50% of marks in aggregate of all thesubjects.
